William Franklin Goldthwaite (William7, Timothy6, Jacob5, Benjamin4, John3, Samuel2, Thomas1), of New Orleans, La., born in Augusta, Me., March 24, 1820, married, Apr. 13, 1846, Felicie Lartigue of New Orleans, a lady of French descent, born Apr. 13, 1828, daughter of Eugene and Sophie (Dufilho) Lartigue. He graduated with honor at Waterville College, Me., when nineteen years of age, and was for a number of years instructor in colleges and schools in the South, being teacher of Literature in the Eufala (Ala.) College in 1841, and afterwards in the Loundesboro and Montgomery academies. In 1843-44 he was Professor of English, Greek, and Latin in Bellanger’s Academy in New Orleans, and in 1844-46 in Jefferson College, St. James’ Parish. Later, he was for some years a shipping merchant in New Orleans, and finally established a bookstore there, on Canal street, continuing in that business the remainder of his life. He was an alderman of the city at one time. At the time of his death, Feb. 3, 1893, he had been a resident of New Orleans for fifty years. Dufilho Die in Two Days Services Held Here Thursday Afternoon for Mrs. Adolph Hollier, Former Antonio Dufilho Funeral services were held here Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Adolph Hollier of Houston, former Opelousas resident, who died Wednesday morning following a lingering illness. Mrs. Hollier was the sister of Roger Dufilho of this city, whose son-in-law, Gordon Fletcher, died Tuesday in Houston. Mrs. Hollier’s body was brought to Lafond and Son Funeral Home Wednesday night. Services were read at the local Catholic Church and interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery. She was the former Antonio Josephine Dufilho, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dufilho of Opelousas. Mr. Fletcher succumbed Tuesday at a Houston hospital following a major operation. His wife is the former Elese Dufilho of this city. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in Houston. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dufilho and their son, Alvin Dufilho, attended services and are expected to return here during today. Born on December 9, 1953, in Pasadena, Texas, she died on Thursday, January 12, 2012. She was a retired nurse. She is survived by her husband, Phil Hollier, Sr. of Big Sandy; 1 son, Phillip Hollier, Jr. of Big Sandy; 2 daughters, Courtney and David Burgin of Big Sandy and Krista and Jared Brown of Edmond, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Edward Jones of Pasadena and Melvin Jones of Houston; and 3 sisters, Kay Wylie of LaPorte, Rene Worsham of Jacksonville, and Betty Spurlock of Crosby. 4043 | SONNIER Robbie John Sonnier, 36, of Oklahoma City, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 3, 2000 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born October 16, 1963, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to John Mervin and Gloria (Dufilho) Sonnier. He graduated from Norman High School in 1981. He worked Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base for 15 years. He was an avid golfer. He liked camping, jet skiing and painting automobiles. Robbie was very artistic and liked drawing and painting. He adored his daughters and was a good father. He attended St. Mark's Catholic Church. He is survived by his father, John Mervin Sonnier of Norman; two daughters, Channelle Sonnier of Clarence, Iowa, Kali Sonnier of Okla. City; one brother, Christopher Sonnier of SanAntonio, Texas; two sisters, Cheryl Sonnier of Norman, Jennifer Sonnier of Okla. City; two nieces, Chynna Sonnier, San Antonio, Texas, Jade Alvarado, Okla. City; and his girlfriend, Sandie Upshaw of Okla. City. His mother, Gloria Sonnier, preceded him in death in March of 2000. Prayer services will be 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Primrose Chapel with Rev. John Metzinger, pastor of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Norman and Rev.
