TULLER FUNERAL RITES ARE HELD
Long Illness Is Fatal to Civic, Social Leader
Private funeral services were held Sunday from the House of Bultman, 3338 St. Charles, for Mrs. Loyola E. Richardson Thibaut Tuller,- 85, former New Orleans civic and social leader. The Rev. Edmund J. Cannon, C.M., of St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church officiated at the services. Interment was in Hope Mausoleum.
Mrs. Tuller died Friday morning at Taylor House, 1421 General Taylor, following a prolonged illness.
Born in Mobile, Ala., on July 31, 1882, Mrs. Tuller spent most of her life in New Orleans.
Mrs. Tuller, by first marriage, was the wife of the late Dr. Pierre Leonce Thibaut Sr., a prominent New Orleans physician and chief of staff of Hotel Dieu Hospital. He died in 1933. Her second marriage was to the late Dr. Charles S. Tuller, one of the founders of the Loyola University School of Dentistry and former president of the Louisiana State Dental Association. He died in 1944.
Mrs. Tuller was a former member of the Orleans Club and the Southern Yacht Club. She resided at 5216 Pitt.
Her only son, the late Pierre L. Thibaut Jr:, died last May. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Thibaut Tuller, of New Orleans, two grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were: Dr. P. L. Thibaut Brian, A. Morgan Brian, James Thibaut III, William McIntyre, Wade Henry and Dan F. Hunter. Honorary pallbearers included: William N. Tuller, C. E. Richardson Jr. and Dr. Sidney Jacobs.

Dentist Here Since 1905 Expires at 64
Dr. Charles Shepard Tuller, 64 years old, who had practiced dentistry in New Orleans since 1905, died at 5:15 a.m. Monday at his home, 5216 Pitt street.
Dr. Tuller had limited his practice to prosthetic dentistry in recent years, but for many years was a member of the Loyola University School of Dentistry, which he helped to found, and taught at the Tulane University School of Dentistry when it was in existence.
He was a past president of the New Orleans Dental Association and the Louisiana State Dental Society. He was a native of Chicago and was graduated from the Chicago Dental College in 1901. He practiced in Shreveport before moving to New Orleans.
He is survived by his widow, the former Lola Richardson Thibaut; three sons, William Tuller of Port Sulphur; Frank Tuller of New Orleans, and Rollin Tuller of Vicksburg. Miss.; a brother, Rollin M. Tuller, Chicago, and two step-children: P. L Thibaut Jr., New Orleans, and Mrs. William Tuller, Port Sulphur.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today from the House of Bultman, 3328 St. Charles Avenue, with interment in Hope Mausoleum.
