Mrs. Agnes H. Laird Dies at Daughter’s Home Today
Mrs. Agnes Hollier Laird, 54, of 225 Arbor, died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. E. S. Cathriner Jr., at 1006 West Lobit. She had been in ill health since last fall and was being cared for at her daughter’s home when her death occurred. Wife of a veteran Humble Oil and Refining Co. employee, she had lived In Baytown for 30 years.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at .Earthman chapel with Cecil Haffelfinger, minister of the Lakewood Church of Christ and Andy Dooley of the Virginia Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Cedarcrest cemetery under direction of Earthman’s.
Survivors are her husband, Lucien Lamar Laird; two daughters, Mrs. Paul C. Murphy and Mrs. Cathriner, both of Baytown and her ' mother, Mrs. Corine Hollier of Breaux Bridge.
Also surviving are five brothers, J. W. Hollier, J. E. Hollier, C. Holier and Wilbert Hollier, all of New Orleans, La.; James Hollier of Lake Charles, La., and Carroll Hollier of Port Arthur; two sisters, Miss Lavina Hollier and Miss Fabiola Hollier, both of New Orleans and three granddaughters.
Pallbearers will be W. T. Jones, Sr., E. C. Osborne. Bill van Meter, L. M. Raiford, Larry Williamson and Fred Langbam.
