Services for Mrs. Lloyd A. Landry, 73, the former Margaret Hollier, will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Evangeline Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Arnaud officiating. Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum in Loreauville.
Visitation will be today from 5-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
A native of Broussard and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Landry died at 11:43 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Dauterive Hospital.
Mrs. Landry was a nurse for 22 years, working with Drs. Ralph Finley, Stanford Bevis and Jacob Lahasky. She was an avid sports fan supporting her Saints, LSU Tigers and the Atlanta Braves. She truly enjoyed her Thursday Bouree game with her friends and trips to the casino which she jokingly referred to as her "therapy." She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lloyd A. Landry of New Iberia; her daughter, Linda Landry Thomas, and her husband, Zie, of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Len Michael Romero of New Iberia, and Carla Crochet, and her husband, Jonathan, of Jacksonville, Fla.; her great-grandchild, Ashton Crochet; her step-grandchildren, Zie Thomas Jr. of Lafayette, and Sheri Kay Thomas of New Iberia; and two sisters, Rita Landry of New Iberia, and Adele Choplin of Broussard.
Mrs. Landry was preceded in death by her parents, Cesaire and Leontine Fabre Hollier; five brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Len Michael Romero, Jonathan Crochet, Donald and Richard Hollier, and Charlie and Cecil Landry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zie Thomas, L.J. LeBlanc, Adam Laviolette, Ray Wilson and Steven Choplin.
Mrs. Landry's family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to her niece, Elaine, and her husband, L.J. LeBlanc, her friend, Anna Lou, and her husband, Ray Wilson, her sister, Adele Choplin, and the many nieces and nephews for the love and care given. Also, a special thank you to Drs. Stokes and Rinaldi and their staff, and the nurses and staff of Dauterive Hospital.
The family prefers memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Midsouth Division, P.O. Box 52884, Lafayette, La. 70505-2884.

At his death she became the wife, on August 14, 1759, of Bernard de Verges, an ensign in the colonial troops, son of Chevalier Bernard de Verges, chief royal engineer in Louisiana, and Marie Thérese Pinau.

Lafayette-Funeral Services for Mrs. Oray Choplin, the former Marie Adele Hollier, 76, will be held on Wednesday May 16, 2007 at David Funeral Chapel at 10:00 AM with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Broussard, Louisiana.
A native of Broussard, Louisiana and a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana Mrs. Choplin died on May 13, 2007 at 4:30 AM at River Oaks Retirement Manor. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 15, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume Wednesday May 16, 2007 at 8:00 AM until time of service.
Mrs. Choplin is survived by her husband, Mr. Oray Choplin of Broussard, Louisiana; Sons, Steven Choplin and his wife Karen of Milton, Louisiana and David Choplin and his wife Janel of Edmond, Oklahoma; Daughters, Dianne Vincent and her husband James of Broussard, Louisiana and Lynne Reynolds and her husband John of Pineville, Louisiana; Grandchildren, Kamie Hastings, Dana Lucas, Chris Miller and Addison Choplin; Great-grandchildren, Jackson Lucas and Justin Vincent.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; Cesaire and Leontine Fabre Hollier; Brothers, Belis Hollier, Ulysse Hollier, Kliney Hollier, Loveless Hollier; Sisters, Annette Broussard, Margaret Landry, Rita Landry, Regina Patin and Edith Armentor.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Hollier Bourque, will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 at 2:00PM at St. Johns Chapel in Lewisburg with the Interment at the Church Cemetery. Rev. Blair Sabaricos will conduct the services.

Mrs. Bourque, age 74, died at her residence on Tuesday morning, May 22, 2007. She was owner and operator of Bourques Club in Lewisburg, Louisiana. Bourques Club was a very big part of Marie Bourques life. She made friends with so many beautiful people. The Club was featured in Travel, Smithsonian and Time magazines and had a part in Michael Schoffs German made film Schultze Gets the Blues. Mrs. Bourque will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May her kind soul rest in peace with her maker in Heaven. Best wishes to her love, Joe Richard, her rock.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Antoinette “Nettie” Dufilho Burleigh, 94, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on North Main Street in Opelousas. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum.
Mrs. Burleigh, a former resident of Opelousas, died at 7 p.m. Friday, June 6, 1997, in Autumn Winds Nursing Home in Schertz, Texas. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, the Opelousas Garden Club, the Home Extension Club, Woodman of the World, AARP and the Opelousas Art League.
Survivors include; three daughters, Gwendolyn Smith of Universal City, Texas, Elaine Burleigh of Houston, Texas, and Shirley Broussard of New Orleans; a brother, Gerald Dufilho of Opelousas; a sister, Ida Russ of Opelousas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Burleigh was preceded in death by her husband, Havard Burleigh; her parents, John Marie and Anna Catherine Hinckley Dufilho; and six brothers, George, Louis, Johnny, Peyton, Eugene and Marion Dufilho.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday. Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on North Main Street in Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Mrs. James "Jim" Mouton, 72, the former Marie Hollier, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Arnaud officiating.

Music will be provided by the Nativity Contemporary Choir. Entombment will be in the church mausoleum.

Visitation will be today from 4-10 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at David Funeral Home, which will reopen Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A native of Biloxi, Miss., and resident of Coteau, Mrs. Mouton died at 8:24 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Marie was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and she loved people very much. She served the Lord at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church for many years and at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau. She will be deeply missed. She will be in the arms of her Heavenly Father because she loved and knew Jesus as her Savior. She was a Eucharistic minister in church and ministered to the homebound.

The family would like to thank the staff and doctors who did a wonderful job to help Marie. It was very much appreciated.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James "Jim" Mouton of Coteau; two sons, Jimmy Mouton of Lafayette, and Tony Mouton, and his wife, Cathy "Skeeter" Broussard Mouton, of Coteau; her daughter, Donna Mouton Decou, and her husband, Butch, of Coteau; two brothers, Bonnie Hollier and Paul Hollier, and his wife, Anna Lou, all of Lafayette; her sister, Nancy Hollier of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Chief Brannon Decou, and his wife, Allison Vincent Decou, of Broussard, Jarret, Andrew and Laurie Mouton, all of Lafayette, and Joshua, Jacob, Sarah and Emmy Mouton, all of Coteau; her great-grandchild, Alana Marie Decou of Broussard; and her great-grandchild soon on the way, Britney Decou.

Mrs. Mouton was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Emelie Fabre Hollier; two brothers, Dennis and Roy Hollier; and her sister, Theresa Hollier Fabacher.

Pallbearers will be Toby Belaire, Chief Brannon Decou, and Andrew, Jacob, Jarret and Joshua Mouton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy and Tony Mouton.

Godefroy Boudousquie, a native of New Orleans, Major's son of the late Antoine Boudousquie and the late Perine Trepagnier, formerly of New Orleans promised to marry Eulalie Emeranthe Bernoudy.A native of New Orleans, major daughter of Bernard Bernoudy, resident of St. Charles Parish and the late Marie-Jeanne Robin de Logny. Witnesses for Boudousquie were Francois Levasseur, Jean-Jacques Orgnon Duplessis and Pierre Zenon Boudousquie, brother of the future groom. We, the undersigned parish priest, gave the nuptial blessing to Louis Dufilho, who, under his oath taken before the mayor and one of the justices of peace of New Orleans on 13 April 1805, proved to us that we had never contracted any marriage, major son of Jean Dufilho and Jeanne Marie Bonnet, his legitimate father and mother, native of Mirande in Gascogne, France and domiciled in New Orleans on the one hand and Miss Delphine Marmellon, minor daughter of Mr. Pierre Marmellon [Marmillon] and of Mrs. Françoise Haidelle [Haydel], her legitimate father and mother, present and consenting, native and domiciled in this parish on the other hand.
