Anthony Hollier 76, of Groves passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Anthony was born January 17, 1938 in Leonville, Louisiana to Arthur Hollier and Marie Celima Hollier. He was a resident of Groves for 44 years and a member of the United Methodist Temple. Anthony was an Accountant for Rental Services and a member of the Port Arthur Evening Sertoma Club. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1970. He was preceded in death by his two brothers Pierre Hollier and Mitchell Hollier, two sisters Alice Bauer and Lillie Mae Bauer and a daughter-in-law Jennifer Hollier. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur with Reverend Jeff Hastings officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Anthony is survived by his wife Barbara Hollier of Groves, sons Patrick Hollier and wife Kelly of Houston, TX. Thomas Hollier of Kingwood, TX. Joseph Hollier and wife Melanie of Manvel, TX. and stepson Warren Sanders of Houston, TX., step daughter Susanne Read of Reeves, Louisiana, sister Lucy Lalonde of Port Arthur, brothers John Hollier and wife Anna Lee of Lafayette, Louisiana, Albert Hollier and wife Flo of Leonville, Louisiana, grandchildren Kaityn, Kelly, Peyton, Carson, Hannah Hollier, Samantha Smith, Marshall Cox, great grandchild Isaac Smith and step grandchildren Meagan, Brett, and Karah Sanders. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Temple.

PECANIERE ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Albert Hollier, age 80, who passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at his residence in Leonville.
Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. The Very Rev. Msgr. W. Curtis Mallet will officiate at the services. Readers will be Kaylee Lewellyn and Mikayla Hollier. Gift Bearers will be Kirstie Hollier and Maci Hollier.
Mr. Hollier was a native and lifelong resident of Pecaniere. He was employed for 30 years with the Department of Transportation and Development. While working for the state, he farmed in his spare time and continued full time after his retirement accumulating over 40 years in farming. He also served as a parish councilman for District 7 for eight years. Albert was a hard worker and always worked at least two jobs at once.
A veteran of the military, Mr. Hollier proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post 278 and VFW Post 5153. He loved carpentry, picking pecans, and playing softball, where he played on championship teams during high school and in the Army. Mr. Hollier was a parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville where he served as an usher for years.
He loved his Hollier Easter family gatherings, and he cherished his wife and children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was loved by his family, and his legacy will be carried on for generations to come. He was a man of very few words but when he spoke, his words were so powerful.
Survivors include his wife, Florina Boudreaux Hollier of Leonville; three sons, Brent Hollier and his wife, Rachel, Mark Hollier and his wife, Shinnette, and Michael Hollier and his wife, Melissa; two daughters, Charlene Dupuis and her husband, Brett, and Rebecca Cornette and her husband, Spencer; ten grandchildren, Kaylee Lewellyn and her spouse, Eli, Braeden Hollier and his spouse, Chelsea, Brock Hollier, Mikayla Hollier, Kirstie Hollier, Dustin Hollier, Maci Hollier, Brodie Dupuis, Carter Cornette, and Averi Cornette; five great grandchildren, Brynlee Soileau, Beckham Hollier, Bosten Hollier, James Lewellyn, and Ruth Lewellyn; one sister, Lucy Lalonde; and three sisters-in-law, Barbara Hollier, Barbara F. Hollier, Anna Lee Hollier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Hollier and the former Marie Celima Lalonde, both natives of Leonville; and six siblings, Pierre Hollier, Alice Bauer, Lillie Mae Bauer, Mitchell Hollier, John Hollier, and Anthony Hollier.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home by Deacon Sammy Diesi.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Braeden Hollier, Brock Hollier, Dustin Hollier, Brodie Dupuis, Brett Dupuis, and Spencer Cornette. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Hollier, Mark Hollier, Michael Hollier, and Eli Lewellyn.
