Rayne—Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Lee Hollier, Sr, 55, will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home chapel. Father Kendal Faulk will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Number Two.
Mr. Hollier passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011 in DeWitt County, TX.
A lifelong resident of Rayne, Mr. Hollier was a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his loving companion, Shirley Chaumont of Rayne; daughters, Chermaine LeBouff and husband, Tony of Carencro, Ashley Hollier of Duson, Bobby Jo Hollier of Lake Charles, and Victoria Hollier of Duson; sons, Sherman Hollier and wife, April of Opelousas, Brandon Hollier of Lafayette, Blake Hollier of Duson, Joseph Hollier, Jr., and Lesley Bott, both of Rayne; sisters, Geraldine Hollier of Rayne, Shirley H. Arabie of Sulphur, Lena Parker of Duson, and Connie H. Mathews and husband, Clayton of Duson; brothers, Sexton Hollier and wife, Carrol of Eunice, Eulix Hollier and wife, Linda of Higginbotham, Gordon Ray Hollier and wife, Sharon of Carencro, Emery Hollier and wife, Brenda of Rayne, Russell Hollier and wife, Linda of Rayne, Ivy Hollier and wife, Linda of Rayne, and Gene Hollier and companion, Rene of Scott. Mr. Hollier is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Proceeding Mr. Hollier in death were his parents, Freddier and Angelina Doucet Hollier; brother, Harry Lee Hollier; and sister-in-law, Sue Hollier.
Visitation for Mr. Hollier will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home, Rayne, LA, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.
