Thereafter he received a machinist certification from the Southwest Voc/Tech school and was employed by LA Oilfield Rentals (L.O.R.) from 1960-1970 as a machinist and foreman. From 1970 until his retirement he was the owner/operator of the "Four Seasons Lodge" on Johnston Street and West Congress.
