OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct.
4, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Melancon Funeral Home
Chapel of Opelousas for Robert Hollier Sr., 79, who passed away at
8:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Opelousas General Hospital in
Opelousas.Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
The Rev. Jefferson Deblanc, pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic
Church in Opelousas, will officiate at the services.Mr. Hollier was a
native and lifelong resident of Opelousas. He was employed by
Schlumberger Well Services as a shop foreman for over 35 years. He
was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS San
Jacinto aircraft carrier.Survivors include one son, Robert "Bob" Hollier
Jr., of Opelousas; one daughter, Linda Faye Campbell and husband,
Don, of Opelousas; two grandchildren, Donnie Campbell and wife,
Dona, of Opelousas, Christie Lea Campbell Veazey and husband,
Corey, of Opelousas; four great-grandchildren, Jake Ryan Veazey,
Lindsey Campbell, Colby Campbell and Laurie Campbell; and several
nieces and nephewsHe was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years,
Mary Faul Hollier, who passed away July 28, 2005; his parents,
Frederick Hollier and the former Rita Soileau; one half-brother, Ernest
Bourgeois; four sisters, Lucille Hollier, Agnes Hollier Burleigh, Isabel
Hollier Thibodeaux and Winnie Hollier Fontenot.A rosary will be
prayed at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.The family requests visiting
hours be observed from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. today and will continue
from 8 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.Pallbearers will be Don
Campbell, Donnie Campbell, Corey Veazey, Joe Mistrot, Carlton Faul
and Carl Lanclos.Honorary pallbearers will be Robert "Bob" Hollier Jr.

OPELOUSAS ~ Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 1 ,2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Opelousas for Robert "Bobby" Hollier, Jr., age 60, who passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at 1:05 a.m. at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas.
Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
Mr. Hollier was a native and lifelong resident of Opelousas.
Survivors include his sister, Linda Campbell and her husband, Don, of Opelousas; his niece, Christie Veazey and her companion, Blake Bergeron; his nephew, Donnie Campbell and his wife, Dona; two great nieces, Lindsey Campbell and Laurie Campbell; and two great nephews, Colby Campbell and Jake Veazey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Hollier, Sr. and the former Mary Faul, both natives of Opelousas.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until service time on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Don Campbell, Donnie Campbell, Blake Bergeron, Carlton Faul, Rocky Bellard and John Fontenot. Honorary pallbearers will be Colby Campbell and Jake Veazey.
