June Louise Hollier

ERWIN, TN June Louise Hollier, age 78, of 751 Love Street, Erwin, TN, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Port Arthur, TX, she was the daughter of the late Girault Beatty and Marie Lillian Trahan Ross. She was of the Baptist faith and has always been active in her church and mission work. Before moving to Erwin in 1991, June had many accomplishments as a nurse in Texas. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society. She earned her RN, BSN, and MSN in nursing. June worked for Methodist Hospital in San Antonio before she taught nursing at Incarnate Word University and University of Texas at San Antonio. She also worked as a nursing Administrator for Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde, Texas. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Chloie Collins and two sonsinlaw, Albert Schmidtke and Kenneth Hensley. June leaves behind her husband, Fred Hollier, Sr; her sons, Fred Hollier, Jr, and wife, Norma, San Antonio, TX, Dr. Paul Hollier and wife, Kim, Erwin, TN, Jeffrey Hollier and wife, Clara, San Antonio, TX; Her daughters, Malinna Hensley, Unicoi, TN, Joanna Schmidtke, Port Arthur, TX, Jan Hollier, Nashville, TN, Jill Leal and husband, Robert, Yuba City, CA; Grandchildren, Jake Collins and wife, Stacey, Erwin, TN, Allyson Garven and husband, Charles, Wylie, TX, Meghan Hollier, Erwin, TN, Paul Hollier, II, Erwin, TN, Hollie Alvarez and husband, Randy, Fannett, TX, Brooke Schmidtke, Port Arthur, TX; Great Grandchildren, Ashlyne Havard, Fannett, TX, Caleb Havard, Fannett, TX, William Collins, Unicoi, TN, Colton Collins, Unicoi, TN, and one great grandson, Isaac Beatty Garven, expected soon. Funeral services for Mrs. Hollier will be at Two O’clock,Monday, February 5, 2007, in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Billy Byrd will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Fred Hollier, Jr, Dr. Paul Hollier, Jeff Hollier, Paul Hollier, II, Gene Ross, and Clint Campbell. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Leal. O’Neil Hollier Dies in Hospital
O’Neil Hollier, 71, of 701 Fifth avenue, Port Arthur, died today at about 11:15 a.m. in Park Place hospital. He was the widower of Mrs. Mestaia Hollier who died here March 14 of this year.
Mr. Hollier is survived by a son, Fred Hollier of Port Arthur; one daughter, Mrs. Dora Campbell of Houston; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services for Mr. Hollier will be held Thursday at St. James Catholic church at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial park under direction of the Grammier-Oberle Funeral home.
Mr. Hollier was a native of St. Martinville, La., and had lived in Port Arthur since 1920. He was a self-employed grocer and owned a grocery store at one time in the 500 block of West Gulfway. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of St. James Catholic church.

Mrs. Hollier Dies at 66
Mrs. Mestaia Hollier, 66, of 701 Fifth avenue, a 48-year resident of Port Arthur died today at 9:35 a. m. in her residence.
Mrs. Hollier was a native of Erath, La. Survivors are her husband, O'Neil Hollier of Port Arthur; one daughter, Mrs. Dora Campbell of Houston; one son, Fred Hollier of Port Arthur, nine grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter; two brothers, Edmond and Adam Bourque, both of New Iberia, La.; and three sisters, Mrs. Leonard Sonnier of Port Arthur, and Mrs. Isaac Romero and Mrs. Lawrence Romero, both of New Iberia.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral home chapel with the Rev. Thomas Woo of the Baptist Mission center, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial park.
Memorials to the Muscular Sclerosis Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers, family members said.
