Notes: Pierre Trepagnier was a milita officer in Louisiana and served under Governor Bernardo de galvez in his campaigns against the English during the American Revolution. He was a wealthy planter in St. Charles parish. He disappeared one morning in a mysterious manner from his plantation, leaving his family at the breakfast table and driving off with an unknown individual, never to be seen alive again.
