Obituary
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2007 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Arthemese Castille, age 94, the former Arthemese Laviolette, who passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas.
Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. The Rev. Ken Domingue, pastor of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Castille was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Opelousas since 1954. She was a parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville.
Survivors include one son, John Nathan Castille and his wife, Bette of Opelousas; one daughter, Mary Priscilla Castille of Opelousas; one sister, Eunice Wyble of New Iberia; three grandchildren, Gary Castille, Jeffery Castille and Peggy Daniel and her husband, James; three great grandchildren, Stephen Daniel, Leighanne Daniel and Meagan Daniel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Joseph Castille; her parents, Joseph Laviolette and the former, Azelie Kennerson, both natives of Arnaudville; five brothers, Eldridge Laviolette, Yves Laviolette, John Laviolette, Morris Laviolette, and Henry Laviolette; three sisters, Beulah Wyble, Edmay Lajaunie and Valerie Hollier.
Melancon Funeral Home of Opelousas, 4708 I-49 North Service Road was in charge of arrangements.
