KAPLAN—Enuel Joseph Hollier died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the age of 91. He was a man of principle who stood up for what he believed. He was someone who was liked and respected by many, not only because he was fun to be with, but because he would go out of his way to do things for others. He was a man greatly admired, more than words could ever express.
Mr. Hollier owned and operated the Rainbow Lounge and Motel for over 20 years. After his retirement, he was well known for his homegrown tomatoes and cucumbers. He truly enjoyed following his great grandchildren at the sporting events they played while growing up. At the ballparks, he was affectionately known as "Pa" to all. Pa will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
He is survived by one brother, Lloyd Hollier; one daughter, Dorothy H. and her husband, Pervis Lege; his four grandchildren: Carl Hollier and his wife, Julia Baudoin Hollier, David Hollier and his wife, Angie Gnau Hollier, Vivian Lege Leblanc, and Vicky Lege; his six great grandchildren: Joshua Hollier and his wife, Lindsey Lemaire Hollier, Scott Leblanc and his wife, Brooke Leblanc, Mitchel Hollier, Kyle Hollier and his fiancée, Emily Cormier, Courtney Hollier and her fiancé, Skyler Hargrave, and Leah Leblanc; and three great-great grandchildren, Brynn and Jaxon Hollier and Maddie Leblanc.
Mr. Hollier was preceded in death by his loving wife, Viola Herpin Hollier; both sons, Murphy and Jeffery Hollier; daughter-in-law, Mazie Lege Hollier; two brothers, Sidney and Milton Hollier; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Deussard Hollier; and one grandson, Randall Hollier.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date as Mr. Hollier donated his body to furthering the advances of medical science.
Condolences may be sent to the Hollier family at www.vincentfuneralhome.net.
