    Clyde is a retired oral surgeon. He is an aviation enthusiast and built his own RV-8 aircraft which he flys to the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh air show every year.

    Obituary for Dr Bernard Clyde Hollier
    A Mass of Christian Burial for Dr. Bernard Clyde Hollier will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Rev. Paul LaPalme officiating. Entombment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.
    Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, April 30, 2021, and resume from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the funeral home.
    Dr. Bernard Clyde Hollier, 88, of Alexandria, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
    Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Mark Hollier and Amanthe Dore Hollier; and his brothers, Russell Hollier, Warren Hollier, and Glenn Hollier.
    Clyde was born on September 5, 1932, in Ville Platte, LA, where he graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He attended McNeese, Louisiana State University and Loyola School of Dentistry. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Clyde was a diplomat of The American Board of Oral Surgery. He practiced oral surgery for 40 years in Lake Charles and Alexandria. He also served as President of the medical staff at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in 1979 and Rapides General Hospital in 1981. He volunteered his time teaching at the cleft palate clinic at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport.
    On his 16th birthday, Clyde made his first solo flight which began a passion for aviation that lasted over 70 years. He enjoyed many other hobbies including hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, traveling, snow skiing and LSU sports.
    Clyde's deepest devotions were to God and his family. He cherished his many friends and valued the time he spent with them.
    Those left to cherish his memory includes his loving wife of 60 years, Jane Theresa Willamson; his children, Dr. Henry Hollier (Shaun), Philip Hollier (Lauren), Jan Chiles (Hank), Leslie du Plooy (Abrie), and Patrick Hollier; his grandchildren, Andrew Hollier, Kyle LaCroix, Erika LaCroix, Jack Hollier, Camille Hollier, Lauren Whatley, Natalie Richie, Meredith Chiles, Christian Chiles, Xander du Plooy, and Leo du Plooy; his brother-in-law Clifton Williamson Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers honored to serve will be Jack Hollier, Andrew Hollier, Leo du Plooy, Xander du Plooy, Abrie du Plooy, and Hank Chiles. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christian Chiles, Mark Hollier, Steve Hollier, Johnny Hollier, Clifton Williamson Jr., Dr. Ray Beurlot, and David Cohran.
    The Hollier family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Freedman Jr. and Dr. Michael Buck for their special care and attention over the years.
