    Obituary:
    CHURCH POINT - Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Andrus, 92, were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church here with burial in the Bellevue Cemetery in Opelousas. Monsignor Fred Swenson conducted the services. Mrs. Andrus died at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. She is survived by: two sons, Karl Andrus and wife Mary Ann of New Iberia and Keith Andrus and wife Kristie of Church Point; one sister, Velma Fitzgibbons of Oklahoma City, Okla., and one daughter-in-law, Becky Andrus of Houma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton R. Andrus; a son, Milton R. "Bob" Andrus II; and a granddaughter, Josie Brady. Visitation was observed Friday from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday. Guidry Funeral Home of Church Point was in charge of arrangements.

    FITZGIBBON
    Thelma H., died Dec. 12, 2005. She was born to Preston and Josephine (Robin) Hollier and raised in Opelousas, LA. She held the title of Miss Opelousas and was runner up in the Ms. Louisiana Pageant. She was employed with OSU as a housemother for a girls' sorority at OSU and later head resident of a girls' dormitory at Louisiana State Univ. where she later retired. She will be missed by her family and friends. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Fitzgibbon, Sr.; her parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother; and 1 grandchild. Thelma is survived by her 3 sons, David and wife Gaye, Dale and wife Marcia, Jim and wife Marsha; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

    Bio:
    Died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 57, a native of Opelousas and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1941. He resided at 3449 Canyonland. He was a retired Ethel Corp. employe and an Air Force veteran of World War II.

    Body at Welsh Funeral Home with visiting from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday and from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday conducted by the Rev. Stephen Plei. Entombment in Lakeside Mausoleum at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

    Survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Cornett Hollier, Baton Rouge; a son, Frederick P. Hollier Jr., Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. Larry (Sybil) LaCombe, Opelousas, Mrs. David (Mildred) Coligan, Church Point, and Mrs. James (Thelma) Fitzgibbon, Baton Rouge; two grandsons, Frederick P. Hollier III, and Eric Scott Hollier, both of Baton Rouge.

    He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. A rosary will be said at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Greater Baton Rouge Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

    Pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased.
