William B. Gay Rites Conducted
WASHINGTON - Final rites were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for William Gay, 84. of Washington. He died at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Landry Clinic.
Services were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington. Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery under direction of the First National Funeral Home of Opelousas.
Gay is survived by his wife; the former Irene Duplechain of Washington; two daughters. Mrs. Lucille Wartelle of Washington and Mrs. Willis Wartelle of Erwinville; one sister, Mrs. Charles Quirk of Lake Charles; and six grandchildren.
