Joseph Louis Hollier, 67, a
native of Port Barre and a resident of Houma, died at 1
1:17 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2001.
Visitation was scheduled from 10 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass was scheduled for 1 p.m. today at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Guidry Hollier; three sons, Terry Hollier and wife, Geralyn, Timothy Hollier and wife, Rhonda, and Donald Hollier and wife, Adene, all of Houma; one daughter, Dori Hollier LaFleur of Houma; one brother, Carrace Hollier of Opelousas; four sisters, Inez H. Hardy of Metairie, Alfreda H. Wyble of Port Arthur, Texas, Virginia H. Naquin of Port Barre, and Anora H. Lukoviscus of Lake Havasa City, Ariz.; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Clemence Stelly Hollier; three brothers, Horrace, John and Mentor Hollier; two sisters, Julia H. Lahaye and Alzier H. Viviano; and one grandson, Dallas James Hollier.
Pallbearers will be Terry, Timothy, Donald, Anthony and Dustin Hollier and John L. Guidry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carrace Hollier, Earline and Leroy Guidry, Lynwood Hidalgo and John B. LeJeune.
He was an oilfield pressure control specialist and the owner and president of Lou-Ann Wireline Service, Inc.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Marine Corps League, a fourth degree member of the Knight of Columbus
and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 409 Funderburk Ave., Houma, LA 70364.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
