Last Monday morning, at his home in Moundville, Mr. Gober Quirk, who was setting in a rocking chair, arose to go to breakfast, when a 44-calibre pistol fell from his hip pocket, struck the floor and fired, the ball penetrating his body near the hip pocket, and ranging upward, it is supposed, and lodging near the shoulder, as he suffers pain there. Blood shortly afterwards came from lungs and kidneys. If no intestine was cut, he will probably recover.
