Be it remembered that this day, to wit: the twenty-fifth of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one and the sixty-sixth of the Independence of the United States of America, before me Vincent Ramos, duly commissioned and sworn Recorder of Births and Deaths in and for the Parish and City of Orleans, personally appeared, Mr. Rufino Thomas Fernandez, born at Galvez town in this State of Louisiana on the sixteenth day of November in the year seventeen hundred ninety nine, keeper of the records of the Catholic and Cathedral of St. Louis of the Parish of New Orleans, residing on St. [—] Street between Condé and Royale streets in this first municipality who by these presents doth declare that Miss Delphine Lartigue born in the Parish Jefferson in this state Louisiana on the eleventh day of September eighteen hundred twenty six in the lawful marriage of the late Mr. Eugène Lartigue and his surviving widow Josephine Marie Sophie Dufilho, departed this life, this present day the twenty-fifth of September fifteen minutes before four o’clock A.M. at the domicil of Madame widow Dufilho, her grandmother, on Bayou road between Marais and Villere streets in the first municipality.
