Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Hollier Bourque, will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 at 2:00PM at St. John's Chapel in Lewisburg with the Interment at the Church Cemetery. Rev. Blair Sabaricos will conduct the services.
Mrs. Bourque, age 74, died at her residence on Tuesday morning, May 22, 2007. She was owner and operator of Bourque's Club in Lewisburg, Louisiana. Bourques Club was a very big part of Marie Bourque's life. She made friends with so many beautiful people. The Club was featured in Travel, Smithsonian and Time magazines and had a part in Michael Schoff's German made film "Schultze Gets the Blues". Mrs. Bourque will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May her kind soul rest in peace with her maker in Heaven. Best wishes to her love, Joe Richard, her rock.
Mrs. Bourque is survived by 1 daughter; Linda Riley and son-in-law Carl Riley of Lafayette, 3 brothers; Wilman Hollier of Opelousas, Hilton "Bobby" Hollier of Church Point and Wilson "Slim" Hollier of Crowley, 4 grandchildren; Stephanie Riley, Jennifer Riley Nida and Andrew Riley of Lafayette and Lauren Latiolais Howland of Opelousas, 1 great-grandchild; Cheyenne Jules Howland of Opelousas
She was preceded in death by her husband; Leon Bourque, 1 son; Mitchell Dale Joubert, 1 daughter; Judith Lynn Joubert, 1 granddaughter; Crystal Dawn Joubert, 2 grandsons; Nicholas Joubert and Tommy Latiolais, 4 sisters, 3 brothers and a son-in-law; Rick Latiolais.
Visitation was observed on Tuesday from 4:00PM to 10:00PM and will continue today, Wednesday, from 8:00AM until time of service. A Rosary was recited on Tuesday at 7:00PM.
