Elda Hollier a native of Abbeville and a longtime resident of Morgan City. Elda went to her heavenly reward on March 4, 2015 at the age of 79.
Elda was a very flamboyant lady she was never at a loss for words; she loved people and showed true concern for everyone. Elda loved her neighbors and her neighbors loved her just the same. Elda also enjoyed her trips to the casino especially the slots and playing bingo. Elda was an amazing lady and will be missed by all.
Elda leaves behind to cherish memories her children Wilton Hollier Jr. and his wife Sylvia of Bayou Vista, Charlene Hall and her husband John of Morgan City, and Douglas Hollier and his wife Vera of Patterson, grandchildren Blair Hollier, Brock Hollier (Allison), Brittany Hollier, Travis Lamar ( Jennifer), Matthew Lamar, Jessica Hollier, Joseph and Justin Hollier, Lauren( Shane) Pillsbury. Great Grandchildren Alexis, Lindsey, Elise, Victoria, Benjamin, Lilllian, Madelyn, Caroline, Katlyn and Hayden.
Elda joins in heaven her husband of 54 years Wilton Hollier Sr., her parents Onezime Luquette and Marie Noel Luquette, two brothers Edward and Lloyd Luquette.
The family would like to thank Doctor Natalie Dishman, the ICU staff at Teche Regional Medical Center, and Doctor Laura Chauvin, for the care and compassion given to Elda.
A time of remembrance and reflection will be held at Hargrave Funeral Home Friday March 6, 2015 from 6 pm until 9 pm. Resuming at Hargrave Funeral Home Saturday March 7, 2015 at 9 am until 11 am. Funeral Services will be 11 am. Elda will be laid to rest in Abbeville in the Saint Paul Cemetery.

Wilton Joseph Hollier, Sr.
July 22, 1929 - January 29, 2008
Abbeville–A Mass of Christian Burial for Wilton Joseph Hollier, Sr., 78, will be conducted at 2:00PM on Friday, February 1, 2008 at St. Theresa Catholic Church of Abbeville, with Fr. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery of Abbeville with Military Graveside Rites by the Vermilion Parish Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, January 31, 2008 beginning at 4:00 PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 8:00AM until the time of services.
A native of Abbeville, and a resident of Morgan City, Louisiana for the past 54 years, Mr. Hollier died at 12:35AM on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Teche Regional Medical Center of Morgan City.
Mr. Hollier retired from McDermott International, Inc. after 30 years of service. He was a member of the VFW Post 4222 and American Legion Post 96 having served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Elda Luquette Hollier of Morgan City; two sons, Wilton Hollier, Jr. and wife Sylvia of Bayou Vista and Douglas Hollier and wife Vera of Patterson; one daughter, Charlene Lamar and her fiancée John Hall of Morgan City; two brothers, Leonard Hollier and wife Gloria of Abbeville, and Nelson Hollier and wife Therese of Erath; two sisters, Rita LeLeux and husband Alvin of Kaplan, and Rena Trahan of Abbeville; one sister-in-law Rida Hollier of Kaplan; six grandsons, Blair Hollier, Brock Hollier and wife Allison, Travis Lamar, Matthew Lamar, Joseph Hollier , and Justin Hollier; two granddaughters, Brittany Hollier, and Jessica Hollier; two great-granddaughters, Alexis Lamar and Lindsey Lamar; and his favorite dog “Bullet”.
Mr. Hollier was preceded in death by his parents Alphe and Ann Bell Romero Hollier, two brothers, Riley Hollier and Larry Hollier; one sister-in-law Sable Hollier and one brother-in-law Wilmer Trahan.
Pallbearers will be Blair Hollier, Brock Hollier, Travis Lamar, Matthew Lamar, Joseph Hollier, and Justin Hollier.
