Joseph H. Hollier, age 86, of Pearcy, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015. He was born on January 23, 1929, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Joseph Hollier and Ruby Griffen Hollier. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Ruby Perry Hollier. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His love, compassion, and support were a blessing to us all. He is survived by his children, Karla Williams, Kaye Kirkwood and her husband, Ken, and Perry Hollier; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and extended family members, including Billy Williams. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Joseph H. "Joe" Hollier
Hollier, Joseph H. (Joe), passed away February 13, 2015, age 86 in Pearcy, Ark. Former resident of Walker, La. He graduated Baker HS, served in the Army Air Corps, obtained a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering at LSU where he later taught as a Professor. He held many patents on his inventions, one being a paper processing machine that he built and turned into Hollier Manufacturing. Predeceased by wife of 61 yrs, Ruby Perry, infant son Christopher, parents Ruby and Joe Hollier of Baker and 8 siblings. Survived by 2 daughters Karla Williams and Kaye Kirkwood and husband Ken, and 1 son Perry, all of Pearcy, Ark., 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Sister Ada H. Prestridge and husband Owen, brother-in-law J.T.Stevens all of Central, La. Memorial service to be in spring, as per his request his and Ruby's ashes will be scattered around their mountain home that they loved so much.
