Frank W. Hollier of Groves, Texas, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the age of 87. He was born September 9, 1922 to Louise LaLonde Hollier and Oscar Hollier in Mamou, Louisiana.
Frank served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He retired from Texaco as a decoker after 40 years of service. Frank has been a resident of the Port Arthur/Groves area for over 60 years and a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and his wife, Euna Hollier.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Justice and husband Frank of Port Arthur, three grandchildren, Natasha Justice Arsement and husband Dale, Brittannie Justice, Frankie Justice and wife Johanna, one great granddaughter Hollierose Justice. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Verrette of Lake Charles, La, brothers, Jack Hollier and George Hollier both from Louisiana along with several nieces and nephews.

MAMOU - It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that the family of George G. Hollier, 88 announce his passing on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Southwest La War Veterans Home, Jennings, La. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou with Father Mark Melancon as Celebrant and Father Richard Vidrine as CoCelebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum in Mamou.
George was a World War II Veteran who was honorably discharged and received a Purple Heart Medal. He is a member of the American Legion, VFW, Disabled American Veterans, and a Knight of Columbus Member.
He was a Master Wood Craftsman, opened his Woodwork Shop in 1948 and worked in that shop until it was closed in 2007 due to his illness.
George will be greatly missed by his Sister, Shirley H. Verrette and husband, James Harold of Lake Charles La one Brother, Jack C. Hollier and wife, Carol of Anacoco, La one niece, Sheila Justice and husband, Frank of Groves, Tx nephews, Dennis Verrette and wife, Lisa, Donald Verrette and wife, Shively and Patrick Verrette and wife, Annette all of Lake Charles La Great nephews, Steve Munson and wife, Maria of Dallas Tx, Mark Hollier and wife, Hollie of Ragley, La and Jason Hollier of Anacoco, La.
George will now reunite in Heaven with his parents Louise LaLonde Hollier and Oscar Hollier two brothers, Louis and Frank Hollier a sisterinlaw, Euna Guillory Hollier and nephew, Bryan Munson. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm The Funeral Home will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 am until time of services. Euna Guillory Hollier of Groves, Texas passed away on Tuesday May 20, 2008 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, she was 78. Born September 12, 1929 in Ville Platte, Louisiana, she has been a resident of the Port Arthur/Groves area for over 55 years. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves.
Visitation will be on Wednesday May 21, 2008 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 6 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 3:30 P.M. Thursday May 22, 2008 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband Frank Hollier of Groves, Texas, daughter Sheila Justice and her husband Frank of Port Arthur, Texas, three grandchildren, Natasha Justice, Brittany Justice, Frankie Justice. She is also survived by her sisters Jane Guillory of Port Arthur, Texas, Shirley Wheaton of Stockton, California and her brother George Guillory of Port Neches, Texas along with several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
