Funeral services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Christopher Michael Hollier, 59, who died Friday, March 20, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital.
He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services.
Christopher was an avid baseball fan, fisherman and strong competitor in the Special Olympics. He was a devout spiritual person with love in his heart for everyone he knew and was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his brother, John Edmund Hollier and wife Evelyn of Abbeville, three sisters, Roberta Anne Hollier,PhD, of San Francisco, CA; Jeanne H. deValcourt of Abbeville and Patricia Ruth and J.D. Cascio of Monroe, LA;and numerous nieces and nephews, Michael Mark deValcourt, John Kevin deValcourt, Stephanie Marie Marinari, John E. Hollier, Jr., Charles Brian Hollier, Marcia Christine Hollier, Maria Angelle H. Zerangue, Patrice H. Thibodeaux, Dr. Paul Jude Hollier, Keith Cascio, Kenneth Cascio, Karen C. Franklin and Katherin E. Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marie Louise Hebert Hollier.
Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, March 23, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.

18, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic
Church for Mrs. Robert C. Hollier, nee Marie Louise Hebert, 92, who
died Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Abbe- ville General Hospital.Interment
will be in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery.The Rev. Kevin Bordelon will
be officiating the services.Louise was a gifted artist and pianist and
served as organist at St. Theresa's for several years. She belonged to the
Lay Carmelites, LaClinqued'etude and among other accomplishments
served as president of the Mount Carmel P.T.A.She is survived by two
sons, John Edmond Hollier and his wife, Evelyn, of Abbeville, and
Christopher Michael Hollier, of Abbeville; three daughters, Rob- ert
Anne Hollier, Ph.D, of San Francisco, Calif., Jeanne Ber- thilde H.
DeValcourt, of Abbe- ville, and Patricia Ruth Cascio and her husband,
J.D., of Mon- roe; a nephew, Thomas James Hebert, of Colorado
Springs, Co- lo; 13 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; and two
great- great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband,
Robert C. Hollier; parents, Augustin Hebert and the former Berthilde
Sonnier; and two brothers, Frank Hebert and Walter Hebert.Visitation
was observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday and will continue from
8 a.m. today until 9:45 a.m. when the proces- sion will depart for the
church.A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday.Honorary pallbearers will
be Thomas James Hebert and Brett Marinari.Mrs. Hollier's family
would like to express a special thank you to Abbeville General Hospital.
