Officers Probe Shooting Death
LAFAYETTE - City police here are investigating the shooting death of Donald J. Hollier, 56, operator of Hollier Flooring Covering of Lafayette. Police said Hollier's body was found about 3 a.m. Monday at his home at 402 Camille St.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, May 1, 2006, at Ebenezer Church of the Nazarene in Indian Bayou, La. for Myra Hayes Hollier, 82, the former Myra Hayes who passed away Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
The Rev. Tim Neustifter, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Lafayette, will deliver the eulogy with Pastor Joe Talhelm at Ebenezer Church of Nazarene.
Interment will be at Indian Bayou Cemetery, Indian Bayou, La.
Mrs. Hollier, daughter of Reginald Hayes and the former Grace McCall, was a native of Indian Bayou, La. and resided in Lafayette. She graduated from Indian Bayou High School as Valedictorian. She married Donald James Hollier of Crowley, La and moved to Lafayette and established Hollier Floor Covering in 1949. Mrs. Hollier was a talented seamstress, a good cook and loved to entertain family and friends. Her hobbies included reading.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Hollier Love and husband, Frank, of Fayetteville, Ga.; one son, Donald J. (Rocky) Hollier II and wife, Brenda, of Lafayette, and her son, Mark Hayes Hollier, of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Greg Love, of Fayetteville, Ga., Cristy Love Workman, of Fayetteville, Ga., Donald J. (Buddy) Hollier III, of Lafayette, Tiffany Hollier, of Lafayette, and Jordan Hollier, of Lafayette; great-grandchildren, Austin and Alec Love, of Fayetteville, Georgia, Connor and Caroline Workman, of Fayetteville, Ga., Elise and Ethan Hollier, of Lafayette; two sisters, Betty Hayes Butaud and husband, Gaston, Dorothy Hayes Cormier and husband, Huey; two brothers, George Hayes and wife, Karen, Richard Hayes and wife, Terez. She was affectionately known to her 18 nieces and nephews as "Nanny".
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald James Hollier.
Visiting hours will be observed from 1 PM until 9 PM today and will continue from 8 AM Monday until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Greg Love and Buddy Hollier, her nephews Simon Hayes, Michael Hayes, Ricky Hayes and Jeff Dore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Cormier, Blaine Butaud, Philip Dore, Kim Hayes, Jake Hayes, Chris Hayes and Shawn Hayes.
The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr. Hoffpauir, Dr. Luke, the nurses of Hospice of Acadiana, and the compassionate and caring 5th floor aides and nurses of Lafayette General Medical Center. Also her family physician, Dr. Nathan Landry and Dr. Zeik.
In lieu of flowers or anyone wishing to make donations may be made in the name of Myra Hayes Hollier to Hospice of Acadiana.
