Ethelene Hollier Kravchuk, 79, of Lake Charles died Saturday, September 26, 2009 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Kravchuk was born in Ville Platte and was raised and educated in Mamou. She lived her adult life in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Mamou High School and Southwestern Louisiana Institute, currently ULL, where she attained a degree in Education. She taught at Marion High School, Eastwood and Our Lady Queen of Heaven. Mrs. Kravchuk's greatest joy was her family, her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives. She will be most remembered as a devoted Catholic. Mrs. Kravchuk was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Philip Anthony Kravchuk and wife Laura of Lake Charles; one daughter, Lisa Kravchuk Dietz and husband Doug of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Matthew and Lindsay Kravchuk and Andrew and Zachary Dietz, all of Lake Charles; two brothers, John Hollier of Lake Charles and Felix Hollier of Fairfax, VA; two sisters, Verna Freeman and Lillian Tennille of Houston, TX; one aunt, Elizabeth "Betty" Thompson of Iowa and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-nine years, Anthony F. Kravchuk; her parents, René and Bernadette Fontenot Hollier and a sister, Madeleine Littleton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2009 in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Monday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:30 PM. Visitation Tuesday will be from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM in the funeral home.

9, from St. Ann's Catholic Church. Burial will be in New St. Ann's
Mausoleum under the direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hollier died at 10:45 p.m. Friday, March 5, 1999, in her
residence.
