Hazel M. Turnbull, of Groves, passed away at Cypress Glen Nursing Home in Port Arthur.
Hazel was born to Elexita Bertrand Hollier and Alfred Lewis Hollier. She had lived in the Groves area for over fifty years and with her husband Edward Turnbull, owned and operated Turnbull Jewelry Store on Procter Street in Port Arthur for over fifty years. Hazel was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves and the Port Arthur Sertoma Club.
Survivors include her brother, Gene Hollier and his wife Emmeline Dodd; sister, Kathleen Kay Tritico and her husband Guy; sister-in-law, Jean Hollier; niece, Lynn Angelone; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Elexita Hollier; husband of sixty-eight years, Edward Turnbull; sister, Billie Hollier; brothers, Al Hollier, Jr. and Ivan E. Hollier.
A Chapel Service will be conducted at the funeral home with Father Don Golasinski officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Hazel M. Turnbull, 90, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at Cypress Glen Nursing Home in Port Arthur.
Hazel was born on November 12, 1919, in Port Arthur, Texas to Elexita Bertrand Hollier and Alfred Lewis Hollier. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. A Chapel Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the funeral home with Father Don Golasinski officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
The family would like to thank Cypress Glen Nursing Home and all of their staff for the love and care they gave to Hazel during the last four years and Odyssey Hospice for taking such good care of Hazel; we love all of you and GOD Bless.
