Elvira is survived by the lifelong love and relationship with Wilson and the late Leola Broussard and their children, Cheryle, Wayne, Kenny and Randy. Even though Elvira bore no children, she was like a mother to Randy and his wife Marie, and a grandmother to their children, Ryan and Matthew Broussard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa Fabre and Leon Artigue; a brother, Leon Artigue Jr.; husbands, Bert Nelson, who was of Natalbany, Phillip Simmons, who was of Port Sulphur, and Charles White Sr.; and dearest friend, Leola Broussard. Her family would like to thank all who were a part of her care, especially the last few months of her illness, including Hospice. Special thanks go to the three remarkable nurses at Gonzales Healthcare, Deloris, Mona and Latisha, who took outstanding care of her.
