Frank Artigue Died Today At Age 68
Frank Artigue, Sr., 68-year-old farmer died at 6:25 a. m. today at his residence on the Opelousas-Lawtell highway. He had been ill for four months.
A native of Amaudville. he had been a resident of near here for the past four years.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic church with Father C. J. Gaudin officiating. Interment will be in St. Landry Catholic cematery.
He is survived by his wife, the former Elena Arceneaux, of route 4, Opelousas; five sons. Frank. Jr., of route 4, John of Leonville, Kenny of Krotz Springs, Ryan of Lake Charles and Lee of Opelousas: three daughters, Mrs. J. D. Bass of Port Ketches, Texas, Mrs. Danel Meche of Arnaudville, and lousas [sic]; one brother, Jules Artigue of Opelousas: and one sister, Mrs. George King of Opelousas: 10 grand children, and two great grandchildren.
