Opelousas — Funeral services for Mr. Bernard Lloyd Thibodeaux, 86, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow in the Gardner-Hinckley Cemetery in Washington.
Father Jeff DeBlanc will conduct the services.
Mr. Thibodeaux was a long time resident of Opelousas and died at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2006, in the Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto.
He was a School Teacher for many years and taught at various locations. He also owned a life insurance agency in Opelousas for many years. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Elks Lodge #1048 of Opelousas and the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances Hinckley Thibodeaux of Opelousas; two sons: Dwight David Thibodeaux of California City, CA; and Glenn Andrew Thibodeaux of Opelousas; one brother, Earl Thibodeaux and wife, Louise of Ely, Nevada; and four sisters: Sister Juliana Thibodeaux of Lafayette; Mary Chautin and husband, Healy of Lafayette; Hazel Hollier and husband, Corace of Opelousas; and Dorothy Speyrer of Opelousas.
Mr. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents: Vital and Rose Boudreaux Thibodeaux; and one brother-in-law, J. B. Speyrer.

Opelousas - A Funeral Service for Glenn Thibodeaux will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Burial will follow at the Gardner Hinckley Family Cemetery in Washington.
Glenn, age 56, a resident of Breaux Bridge and native of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 17, 2020, surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed doing magic tricks and watching Star Wars. Glenn was a faithful Christian and enjoyed researching various faiths. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Mires and husband, Bryan, Maria Ellis and Angel Jones; son, Cameron Wayne Steno; brother, Dwight D. Thibodeaux; 11 grandchildren, Ruthann Mires, Liam Mires, Zachery Ellis, Nicole Ellis, Dalton Ellis, Owen Jones, Kaden Jones, Gabriella Jones, Arabella Jones, Alaina Jones, Jaden Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard “Lloyd” Thibodeaux and Frances Hickley Thibodeaux.
Pallbearers will be Owen Jones, Zachery Ellis, Bryan Mires and Kaden Jones.

Opelousas — Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Hinckley Thibodeaux, 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Gardner-Hinckley Cemetery in Washington.
Father Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.
Mrs. Thibodeaux was a long time resident of Opelousas and died at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2009, in the Eunice Manor Nursing Home.
She was a bookkeeper in the banking industry and for the Daily World for many years. She was also a past Vice President of First National Bank. She was a member of the Elks Lodge Auxiliary of Opelousas. She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include two sons: Dwight David Thibodeaux of California City, CA; and Glenn Andrew Thibodeaux of Opelousas; one brother, Robert Hinckley of Opelousas; one sister, Gertrude Hinckley of Opelousas;
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard "Lloyd" Thibodeaux; her parents: Arthur Latham Hinckley, Sr. and Roberta Drew Hinckley.
