Haydel name was originally Heidel, Eatelle, Haidel, Haydelle. Ambroise was a baker. According to census, his residence on 12 Nov 1724, was Hoffen, 10 leagues above New Orleans, under the command of Sieur D'Arensbourg. Godfather was Ambros Horn, blacksmith

Ambroise Heidel was born on SEPTEMBER 15, 1702 at Neunkirchen, diocese of Wurzburg, Electorate of Mainz. He emigrated on NOVEMBER 14, 1720 from Ship Les Deux Freres, France. He married Anna Marguerite Schoff, daughter of Hans Jacob Schaaf and Anna Marie Foltzloger, circa 1721. He died circa 1774 at Louisiana.
