TWO OLD CITIZENS CALLED TO THE FINAL HOME
Clement Hollier, Near the Century Mark, and E. W. Reynolds, Near Allotted Time, At Rest.
St. Landry parish lost, last week, two of its venerable citizens-old landmarks. Mr. Clement Hollier, aged 95 years, 20 months [10 months] and seven days, died at his home, a few miles from Opelousas, on Friday, November 19th. He was one of the pioneers of this country. Notwithstanding that he had nearly reached the century mark, he was yet able to get about. He leaves a large circle of children and grandchildren.
