3025 | May T. Hollier DELCAMBRE - Services for Mrs. Lennis Hollier, 76, the former May Trahan, will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Voorhies officiating. Entombment will be in Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. today until services on Thursday with an 8 p.m. rosary today at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre. A native of Abbeville and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Hollier died at 6:09 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at her son's home in Erath. Mrs. Hollier is survived by three sons, Donald J. Hollier and James J. Norman, both of New Iberia, and Dennis J. Hollier of Erath; one daughter, Sandy Hollier Duplantis of Erath; a brother, E.T. Trahan of New Iberia; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lennis Hollier; her mother Edith Trahan; a son, Julius Joseph Hollier; and a granddaughter, Julia Norman. Pallbearers will be Donald J. and Dennis J. Hollier, James J. Norman, Earl J. and Anthony Duplantis, and Isaac Laviolette. Honorary pallbearers will be Donovan and Damian Hollier, and Odresse (Bill) Romero. 3026 | Mayance Hollier June 8, 1925 - September 20, 2006 Funeral services for Mr. Mayance Hollier, 81, will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 12pm in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Fr. Randy Moreau will officiate the services. Mr. Hollier, a native of Leonville and a resident of LaPlace, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 12:58am at his residence. He also served in the US Navy in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Hollier of LaPlace; one son, John Hollier of LaPlace; three daughters, Glenda Suffrin husband, Mike of LaPlace, Debbie Lipscomb husband, Johnnie of LaPlace, and Peggy Schilling husband, Wayne of Kenner; three brothers, Burke Hollier of Ville Platte, Tim Hollier of Lafayette, Elvin Hollier of Sunset; one sister, Armance Tate of Mamou; and four grandchildren, Taylor Provensal, Cara Hollier, Tyler Hollier, and Blake Schilling. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2pm-10pm and on Saturday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will recited at 7pm on Friday. 3029 | Mazie Wescovich Mazie Wescovich passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 in Puyallup, Washington. Born Marie Mazie Broussard on July 11, 1914 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Louis and Cecile (Hollier) Broussard, she moved with her family to Biloxi about 1923. In 1936 she married Peter Wescovich and in 1955 they moved to D'Iberville where she remained for fifty-four years. After celebrating her 95th birthday there with a large gathering of friends and relatives, she moved to Washington to be cared for by her son and daughter-in-law Wallace and Lynnette Wescovich. Mrs. Wescovich was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Cecile; her husband, Peter; her son, Glen; her brothers Leonce, Otis, and Neville; her sisters Enola Broussard, Paula Trebotitch, Margaret Savoy, Inez West, and Lillie Broussard; her son-in-law Tom Timmons, and three grandchildren, Mary D'Angelo, Tom Timmons, Jr., and Frank Wescovich. She is survived by her sister Rosie Prevost of Vancleave, daughter Lilly Timmons and daughter-in-law Patricia Wescovich, both of D'Iberville; her son and daughter-in-law Wallace and Lynnette Wescovich of Puyallup, Washington; nine grandchildren and numerous great-and great-great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until mass time. In addition, Ms. Dufilho volunteers two days a week at Church of the Epiphany, working on clerical projects. She is also a bingo caller at Ginter Hall Nursing Home. Ms. Dufilho has been a resident of Chesterfield for 13 years. She has three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and self-employed before retiring.
