The earliest marriage contract between Johan Luminais and Margurite Bouhier is copied from the parchment original and dated 10 July 1624. The first Luminais to visit Louisiana was in 1699, the first Luminais to die in the New World was in a shipwreck on the shores of San Domingue,(Haiti) in 1740. | Source Source: S301 (S301)

Pierre Daspit4 , esquire, lord of the said manor and of Bavarlhes, magistrate and lieutenant at the siege of Frontigues, commissioner and deputy for the execution of the ordinances issued by the Duke d'Epernon, Kings governor of the province of Guienne. He is mentioned in an act of April 17, 16_7, containing an estimate for repairs to be made at the Castle of Castelviel, near Luchen. In numerous locations Pierre is referred to as Freire, however it is most likely that Pierre is the correct name since Freire means "father" in French. Jean Daspit, esquire, who was counsellor of the Court of Toulouse and Mayor of this city. His coat of arms is recorded in the General Armorial of France.
