    Ollen Antoine Stelly
    (February 4, 1926 - December 21, 2008)
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Ollen Antoine Stelly, age 82, who passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 1:10 p.m. at his residence in Sunset.
    Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Arthur Warren will officiate at the services. Readers will be Bridget Vincent and Kim Benoit. Giftbearers will be Ashton Tyler and Coby.

    Musical selections will be provided by Tony Broussard.

    Mr. Stelly was a native of Grand Coteau and a resident of Sunset for most of his life. He was employed with M.P. Dumesil Construction as Superintendent of Operations with 30 years of service, and a self employed construction business owner for 30 years. Mr. Stelly was also employed with Sunset Medical Center. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro, and a member of the Bonne Mort Society.

    Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sybil Hollier Stelly of Sunset; two daughters, Joycelyn S. Courville and her husband, Ravis of Sunset and Jane S. Touchet and her husband, Paul, of Houston, TX; two sisters, Marie Louise Gingles and her husband, Harris, of Bay City, TX and Ethel Chaisson and her husband, Curtis, of Westlake; four grandchildren, Blaine A. Courville and his wife, Stacey, Bridget Vincent and her husband, Neil, Kimberly A. Benoit and her husband, Kevin, and Paige Touchet-Hawkins and her husband, David; and eight great grandchildren, Coby, Reed, Morgan, Dusty Ray, Shelby, Skylar, Ashton Tyler and Drake Weston.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Marius Stelly and the former, Claudia Noel, both natives of Arnaudville.

    A rosary will be prayed by the Noreen Breaux with Bonne Mort Society at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

    The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.

    Pallbearers will be Paul Touchet, Blaine Courville, Dusty Ray Benoit, Kevin Benoit, Neil Vincent, and David Hawkins. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Randy Daigle.

    Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, (337) 896-6366, is in charge of arrangements.
