    C. J. Hannan
    Charles (Charley) J. Hannan, 74, of 3049 17th street, died Saturday at 5:35 p.m. in St. Mary’s hospital after a three-month illness. A rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p.m. in the Grammier-Oberle Procter Street Funeral home chapel. Funeral services for Mr. Hannan will be Monday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic church with burial to follow in Calvary cemetery. Mr. Hannan was a native of Canton, Miss., but had lived in Port Arthur since 1919. He retired from the Gulf Oil refinery pressure department in 1960 after working there 40 years. Mr. Hannan served with the Navy in World War I. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 797 and OCAW Local 4-23. He was also a member of St. James Catholic church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anita Hannan of Port Arthur; one sister, Mrs. Lola Thibodeaux of Paducah, Ky.; two nieces and one nephew.
