LEONVILLE - Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 11, at a 2 p.m. Mass in St. Leo The Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Mrs. John Joseph
Artigue, 87, the former Noalie Zerangue, who died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at 9:05 p.m. in Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas.
Internment will be in the St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. The Rev. Wilson Mott, pastor of St. Landry Church, will conduct the services.
Mrs. Artigue, a native of Port Barre, was a resident of Leonville for most of her life. She was a member of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church in Leonville from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday.
A rosary will be recited at 1:15 p.m. Monday in St. Leo The Great Catholic Church.
Survivors include: one brother, Euel Zerangue of Arnaudville; two sisters, Mrs. Ryan "Althea" Artigue of Lake Charles and Mrs. Alma Lalande of Bridge
City, Texas; two grandchildren, J. Michael Artigue and his wife Carolyn of Lafayette, and Donna Price and her husband Neil of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Artigue; a son, Curtis John Artigue; her parents, Amilcar Zerangue and the former Auderiska
Bergeron, both natives of Port Barre; two brothers, David Zerangue and Elvie Zerangue; and two sisters Bertha Zandal and Martha Moreau.
Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro is in charge of arrangements.
