    Charles Lee Nezat

    BELLE CHASSE - Charles Lee Nezat (Bub) passed away on Sunday, October 14 after a lengthy illness at age 78.

    Charles was born in Opelousas on August 22, 1934 to J.D. and Beatrice Nezat. He has lived in Belle Chasse for the past 44 years.

    He is survived by his wife Barbara St. Amand Nezat, two children Karen Carbo (Mike) and Bradley Nezat, one grandchild, Olivia Fabacher and two step grand children, Leighton and Wesley Carbo.

    Mr. Nezat graduated from Port Barre High and served his country in the Air Force. He attended Southwestern in Lafayette and McNeese State. He was an electronic engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Charles was a former usher at his church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, member of the Lions Club, Tarpon Club, Bromelaid Society and AARP. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed traveling.

    He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Belle Chasse, LA on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11 AM. Visitation from 9 AM until mass time. Interment will follow in Opelousas, LA.
