    FERAN OLIER DIES
    Feran Olier, 76, died this morning at 4 o’clock at his residence on East Beach, He was a native of Louisiana but has been a resident of Biloxi for the past 20 years. Funeral services will be from the St. Michael Church with services by Father Hillebrand. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Eva Premeaux, Mrs. Elizabeth Dora, Mrs. Victor Garry, Mrs. Cecelia Troney and Miss Annie Olier; four sons, Oscar, Oddriese, Elie and Duffy. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. The deceased was a member of the Fleur De Lis Society, and its members will attend the services in a body.

    OLIER FUNERAL
    The funeral of Feran Olier was held yesterday afternoon with services by Father Hillebrand at the home, St. Michael’s Church and Biloxi Cemetery. The Fleur de Lis Society members marched from the house, 1321 East Beach, to the church, followed by the six pallbearers carrying the casket. There were about 200 members of the French society, which was presided over by Father Hillebrand for its fellowship. The pallbearers were: A. J. Garry, Henry Troney, Oscar Olier, Oddrieze Olier, Elie Olier, and Duffy Olier. There were many beautiful floral offerings.

Both Luc Claude and Jacques Noel and their sons were in the cattle business. Their separate cattle brands are recorded in the Brand Book in 1775 in St. Martinville (Post des Attakapas).     In Julitte's probate records, the petition of Isidore and Furcy Hollier dated 30 Nov 1826 states "that Julie Desbordes widow Luc Hollier, the mother of your petitioners, lately departed this life in said Parish, where she has left her Estate". Based on this and other information in her probate, her date of death is sometime between 12 August 1824 and 30 Nov 1826, but most likely close to the 1826 date since her death would have prompted Isidore and Furcy to unseal their mother's will.
