    By notarial act Sieur Nicolas LAUVE, shoemaker living in this town, son of the late Antoine Lauve and the late Marie Francoise Joumart his father and mother, widower in first nuptials of Elizabeth RACHAL, and a native of the town of New Orleans.

    Demoiselle Catherine Pierre COUILLERET, minor daughter of deceased Pierre COUILLERET and of Catherine Laurandine, her father and mother, native of this town. The said Laurandine, her mother is here present and consents to the clauses and conditions set forth below.

    Relatives and friends here present are: On the part of Sieur LAUVE: Sieur Jean HISWARD, Captain of the Navy and merchant in this town, his brother-in-law, and Sieur Nicolas Lambert, merchant in this town, his friend. On the part of the Demoiselle Catherine Couilleret: Sieur Henry ROCHE, shoemaker in this town, her step-father and Sieur Antoine Catoire, merchant, her brother-in-law.

    Conditions:

    - Marriage to be solemnized in the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
