    Dr. Jacques Davis Wilkinson
    Longview, Texas - Memorial services for Dr. Jacques Davis Wilkinson, 66, of Longview, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Longview under the direction of Welch Funeral Home of Longview. The Rev. Michael C. Macey will officiate.

    Dr. Wilkinson died Thursday afternoon July 23, 1987, at a Longview hospital He was a graduate of Tulane Medical School and started his practice In Longview in 1949, coming from Shreveport. Dr. Wilkinson was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Longview and one of the founders and the first chairman of board of Trinity Day School. He was a member of the Texas Medical, Southern Medical and American Medical associations. Dr. Wilkinson was a U.S Navy veteran of World War II and Korean Conflict.

    He is survived by his wife, Normand Wilkinson of Longview; two sons, Dr. Jacques Davis Wilkinson, Jr. of Shreveport, La. and George Wilkinson of Longview; two brothers, Dr. Worth Wilkinson of Alexandria, La. and Dr. Bill Wilkinson of Missouri; and one sister, Caroline Weathersby of Ruston, La.

    Memorial services for Mrs. Normand D. Wilkinson, 84, of Longview, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at the chapel of Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road, with Father Eric Zubler and Verger John C. Murphy Jr. officiating.
    Mrs. Wilkinson died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at a local nursing home.
    Mrs. Wilkinson was born March 6, 1924, in Louisiana, to Leon and Nora Mercer Dufilho. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She had served as past president of Junior Service League of Longview. She attended L.S.U. and was active in R.O.T.C. Women’s Brigade. Mrs. Wilkinson enjoyed gardening and fine food.
    She was preceded in death by her husband. Dr. Jacques D. Wilkinson; and son, Normand George Wilkinson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jacques Jr. and Elizabeth Wilkinson of Longview.

    Mrs. Jacques Davis Wilkinson, who before her marriage Feb. 11 was Miss Normand Evelyn Dufilho, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon C. Dufilho. Lieutenant Wilkinson is the son of Dr. and Mrs. W. E. Wilkinson of Jackson, La. The ceremony was solemnized at 7:30 o’clock in the evening at the home of the bride's parents on College street with the Rev. R. O. Cawker officiating. They spent a few days in Shreveport, Jackson, and New Orleans before he reported back to the U.S.S. Paracutin in San Francisco. She returned to L.S.U. where she will receive her degree in May. Mrs. Leon G. Dufilho, mother of the bride, was her only attendant and the best man was Dr. Jack W. Flowers. The bride wore a grey suit with corsage of sweetheart roses.

    Dufilho Rites Held Monday

    Funeral service for Leon Dufilho, 57, of Houston, son of Mrs. Mathilde Dufilho and brother of Mrs. Ray Keeth, 3601 Indian Springs Drive, were held at Welch Funeral Chapel in Longview at 10:15 a m. Monday. Rev. Edward Shopka, pastor of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Longview, conducted the rites. Committal services were held at 10:30 a.m. at the Memory Park in Longview.

    Mr. Dufilho, a frequent visitor to Marshall, died Friday in a Houston hospital of a heart attack. He had been in ill health several months.

    Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Leon Dufilho of Houston; his mother, Mrs. Mathilde Dufilho of Marshall; one daughter, Mrs. Jaques Wilkinson. Longview; two grandsons, one brother, Al Dufilho of Henderson; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Keeth of Marshall and Mrs. Viola Webb of Shreveport; and a niece, Miss Jere Keeth of Marshall.

    Mrs. Leon Dufilho Succumbs at Age 62
    Mrs. Leon G. Dufilho, 62, of 2321 Centenary Blvd., was found dead early yesterday morning at the home. Caddo Parish Coroner Dr. Stuart DeLee ruled the death was caused by a massive cerebral hemorrhage and that Mrs. Dufilho had been dead for several hours before being found.
    She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and was a native of New Orleans.
    Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jacques Wilkinson, Longview. Tex.; one sister, Mrs. J. H. Wilkinson, Shreveport; one brother, O. A. Mercer, Texas City, Tex., and two grandsons.
    A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. tomorrow in Osburn Funeral Home Chapel and graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in Memory Park Cemetery, Longview, Tex.

    Leon P. Dufilho and Louis E. Dufilho Died
    Leon P. Dufilho died at Shreveport, La., on the 14th of April. 1932, and Louis E. Dufilho on the 12th of March, 1932, the sons of Leon Dufilho (deceased) and Cecile Normand. They leave a mother. Mrs. Cecile Dufilho, a sister, Miss Maria Dufilho of Shreveport, and a sister, Mrs. G. Shackleford, of Pineville, La.
    They were born in Cloutierville, La., Leon on the 16th of April 1879, and Louis on December 17, 1879. They resided in the city of Natchitoches, Alexandria and Shreveport, La., all their lives, where they have numerous relatives and friends, both being likeable and sunny in their dispositions. Both men were of the Catholic faith and received communion in that faith before they died. Resting side by side in the cemetery they lay a few weeks between their deaths, as they had lived in life, trusting in the promise of their Lord.

    A family gathering will mark the celebration of Mrs. Mathilde Dufilho’s 80th birthday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Keeth, 3601 Indian Springs on Sunday. Mrs. Dufilho was born on Feb. 19, 1877 in Natchitoches, La., and is celebrating her birthday this Sunday so that her children may be with her.

    Obituary:
    Mrs. Louis E. Dufilho Sr., 98, of 150 Swede Ave. died at 6:15 p.m. yesterday in Guest House Nursing Home after a long illness. The Natchitoches native had lived in Shreveport since 1918. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Osborn Funeral Home. Chapel Services are pending. Mrs. Dufilho is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ray C. Keith of Shreveport; a son, Alfred Dufilho of Houma; and five grandchildren.
